Stav Barkai
Stav Barkai (b. 1985) is a photographer and lens-based visual artist working across stills and video. Her practice explores the tension between personal experience and collective narratives, engaging with questions of identity, belonging, and transformation.
Working between studio and outdoor environments, she combines constructed scenes and controlled lighting with natural settings. Her work often draws on symbolic imagery and archetypal references, using the body and landscape to create intimate visual narratives that balance emotional sensitivity with formal precision.
