Tobiloba Adeboye
Nigeria
Tobiloba Adeboye (b. 2003) is a Nigerian fine art and conceptual photographer, painter and poet from Ogun State, based in Lagos. She holds a BSc in International Relations from Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State (2023).
Her artistic practice is entirely self-taught, developed through YouTube tutorials and a Canon EOS 800D she was forbidden to use, shooting in secret through windows and balconies with an 18-55mm lens for close work and a 75-300mm Tamron zoom lens to capture the sky from a distance.
Her work explores grief, memory, survival, and emotional experience through images of solitary figures, water, skies and light. She writes poetry and paints, treating all three as connected ways of processing memory and emotional experience.
In March 2026, she exhibited at the +234 Art Fair at the Ecobank Pan African Centre, Lagos.
