Exhibiting Artist

Nigeria

Kalada Briggs is a Nigerian aerial photographer, visual storyteller, documentary filmmaker, climate advocate and NCAA-licensed RPAS pilot based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Through photography, filmmaking and drone technology, he documents African communities, waterways, cultural traditions, environmental change and urban development from perspectives that are often inaccessible from the ground.

His work explores the relationship between people, place, memory and the natural environment while using contemporary imaging technology to present Africa through authentic, locally created visual narratives.

Kalada is also a TEDx speaker, where he delivered a presentation on climate action and the role of visual storytelling in promoting environmental awareness. His photographs and documentary work have received international exposure, including being featured in an international documentary examining global population, human communities and their relationship with the environment. Through his practice, he seeks to preserve cultural memory, document environmental transformation and contribute to a more accurate and compelling visual representation of Africa.
