Abubakar Ali Bazza is a documentary photographer based in Abuja, Nigeria, andagraduate of Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri. Hisworkexplores human-centred stories of resilience, hope, peace, and community rebuilding, with a particular focus on communities affected by conflict and displacement innorth-eastern Nigeria. 

Through photography, Abubakar seeks to amplify voices that are often overlooked, using visual storytelling to foster empathy, preserve memory, and encouragedialogue around social justice and recovery. His practice is rooted inethical documentary storytelling and a commitment to portraying the dignity and strengthofhis subjects. 

As an emerging photographer, he has contributed to collaborative projects suchasthe Tatsuniya Series and has developed independent bodies of work, includingResilience, which documents the experiences of young schoolgirls navigatingtherealities of conflict and displacement. His growing portfolio continues toexaminethe enduring spirit of individuals and communities rebuilding their livesintheaftermath of crisis.
