CALL FOR ENTRIES
This open-themed competition invites photographers to present conceptual bodies of work that reflect their unique interpretations of the world today. Artists are encouraged to explore identity, memory, politics, place, imagination, and more—so long as the work is guided by a clearly articulated concept or narrative.
SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS WILL
- Exhibited during Abuja Photo Festival 2025
- Published on the Abuja Photo Festival website.
- Promoted across national and international media and art platforms.
- Considered for mentorship and editorial opportunities.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Each participant may submit one conceptual photography project.
- Each project must consist of 8–10 cohesive images, accompanied by a series title and a written artist statement (250–400 words).
- Projects must have been created between 2023 and 2025.
- All work must be original, not AI-generated, and clearly reflect a developed conceptual vision.
- All images must be submitted in JPEG format, at high resolution (minimum 2000px on the longest side).
- Files should be named in the format: Lastname_Firstname_ImageNumber.jpg (e.g., Emem_Haruna_01.jpg).
RIGHTS AND USAGE
BY SUBMITTING, PARTICIPANTS GRANT ABUJA PHOTO FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION ORGANIZERS PERMISSION TO:
- Artists retain full copyright of submitted works
- Exhibit, promote, and archive their work for noncommercial purposes.
- Use selected images in digital/print media for documentation and publicity, with full credit.
