During the Abuja International Photo Festival, all participants will get all the help they need to move around, find event venues with ease, and generally have a blast. This is because of the work our army of volunteers will be doing.
Chijioke Ezeibe is one of the team leads of the various volunteering sub-committees we have put in place for the festival.
“Volunteering for the AIPF gives me an opportunity to be a part of changing the narrative. Although I am not a professional photographer, I have been able to channel my skills towards using the power of the media and story telling on social media to use pictures as a tool to influence social change and development. I want people who attend the festival to be able to maximize their attendance and get such skills with ease. That is at the core of me embracing volunteering” she said when AIPF website sat down with her.
According to Osaze Ekhator, the convener of the Photo Festival “the success of the event is dependent on volunteers. The impression our participants will leave with will be the experience they create for them”.
We can’t wait to begin to receive participants at the festival.
