Abuja International Photo Festival 2017: A Review

The 2017 edition which, themed “A Thousand Words: The Unheard Voices of Everyday People”, saw an attendance of over 250 photographers and photography lovers from across the country. The event which was done in partnership with UNESCO and Embassy of Indonesia held from 16th to 20th September at Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Wuse 2.

Activities at the event included Master Classes, Panelist Discussions, Photo Exhibitions, Photo Walk to Daki Biu village, Wuse Market, Garki Market, and Jabi.

The master class sessions had facilitators such as George Osodi, Ebiware Okiy, Don Barberr, Yunusa Abdulahi, Novo Isioro, Ikechi Ugweje, Henry “Big H” Nwaeze, Fanny Octavinus, and others.

The event featured 42 images on specific social themes from 14 photographers who exhibited their works.
